WWE: The premium live event for the Elimination Chamber in 2024 has come and will take place in Australia. It’s the first WWE pay-per-view event to take place in the nation in over five years. The men’s and women’s Elimination Chamber fights will be the main attraction of four contests on Saturday night, or early Saturday morning if you’re in the United States. In other events, Rhea Ripley will defend her WWE Women’s World Championship in her own country and the tag team belts will be up for grabs. WWE fans will also be treated to commentary from Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins, who are currently engaged in a heated rivalry with Roman Reigns, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion, and The Rock.

Though it was exciting to see Waller get some love back home, including a “shoey” with UFC fighter Tai Tuivasa, Cody Rhodes’s popularity from the WWE Universe is undeniable even in Australia.

With WrestleMania season starting this weekend, Rollins’ announcement that he is “days away” from receiving medical clearance to perform represents a significant victory for the WWE. Subsequently, Rhodes declared his intention to challenge The Rock to a bout “anytime, anyplace.” The champion then assured Rhodes that he would support him if The Rock accepted the challenge, according to Rollins.

Rollins and Rhodes were having none of it, hitting the former US Champion with a Cross Rhodes and curb stomp. Austin Theory interrupted and brought up a promo similar to The Rock.

Though it was expected that The Rock and Rhodes would square off in a bout, Rollins’ admission that he would support Rhodes heightens the possibility that The Rock and Reigns will face off in a tag match.

In the tag team division, Dunne and Bate have been a breath of new air. Their aggressive demeanor in starting this battle on fire set the tone for a fast-moving contest.

Although the champs quickly took control of the contest, the excitement seemed to increase even more once Dunne managed to enter the fray and finish Bate out.

Bate trailed behind once again for a little while before regaining control and giving Priest a long-lasting helicopter spin that delighted the spectators. The challengers seemed to have the pin in their grasp, but Dominik Mysterio intervened to break the hold just before the officials removed him from the contest.

After some back-and-forth action with near pins from both sides, Bate countered to build up a strong offensive performance by the challengers as The Judgment Day members went for the finisher. Even though they couldn’t pin Priest, they kept teasing him.

Bálor was able to give Priest enough time to recover as things reached the top rope.Priest used a double chokeslam to give The Judgment Day their first victory of the evening and to set up Bálor for the Coup de Grace on Dunne to get the pin. It was one of the finest tag bouts of the year so far.

Women’s match in the Elimination Chamber

It’s The Man returning to WrestleMania.

The battle began quickly as decorated stars Lynch and Naomi displayed their experience with hard-hitting sequences, with Naomi’s split leg drop off the chains serving as the bout’s high point.

There was an obvious excitement as Stratton emerged from the pods first, showing off the strength that has quickly elevated her to the status of NXT rising star. The audience had already made it clear that they were rooting for her.

The next person allowed into the contest was Morgan, who immediately pursued Stratton by repeatedly tossing her against the hard glass. However, Stratton would be the first to be eliminated; just before Rodriguez entered the ring, Stratton unexpectedly took a pin from Naomi.

As the last contestant to enter the ring, Belair wasted no time in getting her aplomb before engaging in a power struggle with Rodgriguez. Then the high-flying maneuvers began, exemplified by Stratton striking Rodriguez, Belair, and Lynch with a swanton bomb off one of the pods.

However, Morgan’s victory was short-lived as Stratton was preparing to remove her, but she responded to put the pressure on Stratton. Shortly later, Belair dispatched Rodriguez with a K.O.D.

The last three contestants exchanged blows, attempting to kill each other out, but there were plenty of countermoves. When Lynch came out of it, Belair was ready for the knockout blow, but Morgan surreptitiously appeared on “The EST” to win.

Lynch used the Manhandle Slam on Morgan while he was distracted, winning the match and securing her place in a title bout at WrestleMania 40. The ladies once again provided an electrifying opening to a high-end live event, and the match had a number of fantastic moments, including Stratton demonstrating why she is a potential main event star.

The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane) (c) vs. Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

The choice to have Hartwell perform in front of her nation of origin was a wise one, as her early success excited the audience before the competition started. Great moments were also the shouts for Hartwell.

The champions eventually had the upper hand in the fight, displaying their teamwork by striking LeRae with quick, forceful maneuvers. After a little while, LeRae finally tagged in Hartwell, and the audience went wild to see their homegrown star work hard as she used her strength against Sane and Asuka.

Although the challengers had a few close calls, Sane broke their momentum and allowed LeRae to handle the situation alone. After that, Asuka set Sane up for the Insane Elbow, sending her flying high and pinning one of the top finishers in the women’s division to keep the championships.

Though it was difficult to foresee the tag team champions losing their championships in the premiere event, the day got off to a strong start, and Hartwell received a heartfelt standing ovation even after losing.

Four contestants are imprisoned in pods immediately outside the ring as the match begins, leaving two competitors in the ring. A fresh competitor is chosen at random every five minutes and freed from the pod to begin the bout.

Since this is an elimination match, there are no disqualifications for competitors who are pinned or submitted. At the conclusion of the match, the winner is the last person standing after all others have been eliminated.

The 33rd and 34th Elimination Chamber matches in history will take place on Saturday. The winner receives a title bout at WrestleMania, and the contest has acted as a championship match since its debut.
